SCG Urban delivers full civil engineering and project management services for The Crossing, Sarina, a large-scale master planned residential community positioned on the northern edge of Sarina, approximately 30 minutes south of Mackay.
The 69-hectare estate will ultimately deliver more than 530+ residential allotments across 15 stages, supported by open space corridors, rehabilitated drainage infrastructure, and future community/commercial precincts designed to accommodate long-term regional growth.
To date works have included:
- Development Application (DA) documentation and Engineering
- Servicing Reports
- Whole-of-site infrastructure demand assessments
- Detailed Hydraulic Impact Assessment using Council-endorsed TUFLOW modelling
- Stormwater strategy including minor/major drainage networks and culvert upgrades
- Stormwater contribution strategies
- Water network modelling and capacity verification
- Sewer reticulation design including temporary pump station and dual rising main staging strategy
- Bulk earthworks modelling and balanced site-wide level strategy
- Traffic Impact Assessment coordination and intersection upgrade planning
- Operational Works approvals and staged infrastructure delivery
- Stage 1 tendering, evaluation and contract administration
- Regional funding applications.
The Crossing is a key residential growth project for the Sarina and greater Mackay region. Through coordinated planning, detailed hydraulic modelling and staged infrastructure delivery, SCG Urban is ensuring the development is technically robust, financially viable and aligned with Council’s long-term growth strategy.
